he spent almost ten years teaching water to show sound 🫥 finds №004 Lachlan Turczan used to choreograph water shows like the Fountains of Bellagio. now he makes art out of water, light and sound → Light Object, 2025 laser light passes through water inside a clear box. sensors follow your hand, and the light ripples like fabric, as if you're touching it → Wavespace, 2023 the speaker here is a mirrored steel bowl of water. sound pushes the water into patterns, and the bottom throws them onto a dark ceiling as huge, shifting geometry our patron said about this: Turczan manages to completely hack human perception by materializing the intangible he makes sound visible, transforms light into a tangible object seemingly graspable, and uses water as the perfect medium to embody these ide
